Throughout the Summer 2009 semester my students explored the landscape of everyday life by using the lens of their cameras to view the world in different ways. By undergoing such explorations they are able to begin to abstract our natural and built environments. Abstraction allows one to suspend preconceptions and reinterpret space, form, textures and even our own human experience; allowing us to find beauty in the ordinary.
